The NFL has made a decision on Justyn Ross.
The former Clemson and current Kansas City Chiefs receiver was informed by the league Friday that he is suspended six regular season games for violating the Personal Conduct Policy.
Ross has missed the last five games since being placed on the Commissioner Exempt List on Oct. 27 following an incident that month.
Because any games a player misses while on the list is credited against his suspension, Ross will be able to return to the Chiefs’ team next week following its game Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
Ross is required to repay his salary for those missed games.
Once seen as a first-round talent, Ross went undrafted due to injury concerns coming out of Clemson and ended up signing with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He missed all of last season while on injured reserve with a foot injury, but consistently made big plays in training camp and the preseason this year.
Ross recorded six receptions for 59 yards and two touchdowns in three preseason games this year, and has three catches for 34 yards in seven regular season games in 2023.
Ross finished his Clemson career (2018-21) having recorded 158 passes for 2,379 yards with 20 touchdowns across 39 career games (24 starts). The former five-star prospect from Phenix City, Ala., concluded his time at Clemson ranked tied for fifth in school history in career receiving touchdowns, 10th in career receiving yards and 11th in career receptions.
