Former Clemson star Justin Miller took to X, formerly Twitter, to give some advice to parents and recruits on Sunday.
Miller believes too many recruits get caught up in the hype from the top five programs and don’t select the right school.
If you’re not a top 5 at your position (the top 5 programs) in the country aren’t the spot for you. Go to where they love you. I was top 15 at my position (11) to be exact and I went a Clemson program that was under achieving bc I knew I could play. Do better players and parents

Top 5 programs recruit to replace you every year. Stop getting caught up in the hype and go where you’re that guy!!!
Trust the Pro…Not the Joe

Miller went on to remind some that he told everyone that Clemson defensive back Nate Wiggins was the top corner in his class from Georgia.
All the beatwriters said @WigginNathaniel wasn’t the #1 CB in Ga when he came out. I said he was and the other 2 are nonexistent. 1 of them just played for the first time this year and the other is in the transfer portal. Now Nate is a projected top 15 pick. So you do the math.

Miller — who starred at Clemson from 2002-04 before spending six seasons in the NFL with the Jets, Raiders, Cardinals and Lions — is now the defensive run game coordinator and OLB coach at Milton High School.
Miller earned freshman All-American honors at Clemson in 2002 when he tied a single-season school record by notching eight interceptions. He also set a Clemson single-game record against Florida State in 2004 by returning two kickoffs for touchdowns and racked up an NCAA-record 282 return yards in the same game.
