NFL.com Predicts Wiggins to Rising Franchise

The Houston Texans are on the rise with CJ Stroud at the helm, and a former Clemson Tiger could end up joining the franchise right on time.

Cornerback Nate Wiggins is one of the most coveted defenders in the 2024 NFL draft and he would fill a need for Houston. The Texans hold the No. 23 pick, and NFL.com predicted that as his destination.

There’s a strong case for using this selection to upgrade the talent around C.J. Stroud on offense, but the Texans also have some pressing defensive needs to consider. CB Steven Nelson is a free agent-to-be. Wiggins would give Houston a long, athletically gifted complement to Derek Stingley Jr.

Pairing Wiggins and Stingley would make an extremely athletic cornerback duo and a young one at that. Wiggins finished his final season at Clemson with a first-team All-ACC honor and had eight pass breakups to match. If he ends up in Houston, it would be perfect timing for Wiggins.
