TCI Hitter-of-the Week
Julia Knowler
The freshman infielder rom Fort Myers, FL earned her first hitter-of-the-week award after going 7-for-16 (.438) over five games in the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Knowler, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, had two doubles, two homers, three runs, three walks, and seven RBI while leading the team in slugging (.938) and tying for the team lead in on-base percentage (.526).

The redshirt senior righty from Yorktown, VA earned her first pitcher-of-the-week award for her performance out of the bullpen in the NFCA Leadoff Classic. In 10.0 innings over four games, Cagle allowed one run (one earned) on five hits (.148 OBA) with no walks and 15 strikeouts while going 1-0 with a save.
Weekly Notes:
The Tigers outscored their opponents 26-11 while outhitting the opposition .313 (40 hits) to .244 (31 hits). On the weekend, Clemson had six doubles, one triple, four homers, 15 walks, and seven HBPs against 16 strikeouts while going 3-3 on stolen bases. The Tiger pitching staff had a 1.97 ERA, allowing 11 runs (nine earned) across 32.0 innings with three walks and 34 strikeouts. Clemson fielded at a .957 clip, committing six errors in 138 chances.
Looking Ahead:
Clemson heads south to Mexico and the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge for week two of the season. The Tigers will face four first-time opponents in Mexico: Wichita State, UC San Diego, Utah, and Mississippi State. Clemson has faced Auburn four previous times, all taking place in a Clemson Regional. Clemson is 3-1 in those contests, winning once in 2022 (1-0) and two of three games (7-0, 2-5, 5-1) in 2023.
