CLEMSON — In 2023, Clemson won an ACC Championship, had a 16-game win streak and earned a national seed.

All in all, it was a good year. However, the season did not end the way the Tigers wanted it to, as their season came to a sudden close in the Clemson Regional.

As always at Clemson, the goal is to get to Omaha, and though the program has not reached that goal since 2010, this year’s Tigers have the confidence they can get it done.

Clemson pitcher Nick Clayton spoke to the media on Tuesday as the Tigers get ready to open the 2024 Baseball season against Xavier on Friday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

“We had a really good end to last year, but obviously, not where we wanted to end up at,” Clayton said. “The games we won were big games, so it brings a lot of confidence to us.”
