Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media following Wednesday’s practice and provided an injury update on Adam Randall.
The junior wide receiver was in a yellow (no contact) jersey at Monday’s practice.
Swinney said Randall strained his quad but it’s “nothing serious,” and he is day-to-day.
“Man, he had three or four really, really good days. Really pleased with him,” Swinney said. “He kind of picked up where he left off. He finished the season with a lot of confidence, and he’s carried that into the offseason, and then off to a really good start with spring ball. Just on a go ball the other day, just a little tweak in his quad. Nothing serious. So, just trying to be smart with him so it doesn’t linger or lead into anything else.”
A former national top-125 prospect from Myrtle Beach, Randall enters the 2024 season with 32 career catches for 378 yards over 25 games (six starts).
The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder posted 22 receptions for 250 yards across 13 games (five starts) in 2023. He had a career-high and team-high 53 receiving yards on two receptions vs. North Carolina on Nov. 18, and then two games later, he finished the season by gaining 46 yards on a career-high five receptions in the Gator Bowl vs. Kentucky.
