The Washington Commanders are red-hot in free agency, and now the team is reuniting two former Clemson Tigers.
Clelin Ferrell is signing with the Commanders on a one-year deal, as reported by The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. Ferrell had a career-high 13 quarterback hits for the 49ers last season and 3.5 sacks.
In Washington, Ferrell will join fellow Tiger KJ Henry. The two played together in the 2018 season, helping lead Clemson to its second national championship in three years.
The Commanders are making a heavy push to improve and Ferrell is the latest addition in those efforts.
