It’s a busy week for this former Clemson star currently on the free agent market.
Mike Williams is reportedly slated to meet with multiple suitors this week as he searches for his new NFL home.
The veteran wide receiver is scheduled to visit with the New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers, according to multiple reports.
The Jets are getting the first visit Monday night, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter also reported that the Los Angeles Chargers are interested in reuniting with Williams, who has spent his entire NFL career (2017-23) with the Chargers after being selected by the franchise in the first round (seventh overall) of the 2017 draft.
The Chargers released Williams last week in order to save $20 million in salary cap space, though they could still potentially bring Williams back at a lower price.
Williams is coming off a shortened 2023 season, when he posted 19 receptions for 249 yards and one touchdown prior to suffering a season-ending ACL injury in Week 3.
Overall in his productive NFL career, which has been set back at times by injuries, Williams has amassed 309 catches for 4,806 yards and 31 touchdowns.
Former Chargers’ WR Mike Williams is scheduled to visit this week with the Jets, Panthers and Steelers, per source. Jets up first with Williams arriving Monday night.
Also, with the Chargers having traded WR Keenan Allen, they also are interested in bringing back Williams.
