Peach State Pass Catcher High on Clemson, Had ‘Amazing’ Visit

A talented Peach State pass catcher in the 2026 class returned to Tiger Town recently.

Nalin Scott of Kennesaw Mountain High School (Kennesaw, Ga.) was back on campus for Clemson’s junior day March 9.

Among his favorite parts of the visit was seeing the Tigers operate offensively in their spring practice that day.

“The visit went amazing,” Scott told The Clemson Insider. “One of my highlights of the day was honestly getting to watch their upcoming offense and how fast of a pace their offense can move the ball.”

Scott is classified as a wide receiver by the major recruiting services, though the Tigers are recruiting the 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect as a tight end.

Of Clemson’s staff, Scott spent most of his time during the junior day with tight ends coach Kyle Richardson.

“One of the things I mostly heard from them was how they liked how I’m growing and gaining more muscle mass while getting faster at the same time,” Scott said. “One thing Coach told me is how he likes big bodies that can trust their hands and can move, and he sees that in me.”

Scott participated in the Dabo Swinney Camp last summer and has become familiar with the Tigers over the course of the recruiting process, having visited Clemson several times now.

“One thing that stands out to me over the last few times I went is the consistency with the program and how they operate things,” he said.

More than a dozen programs have offered Scott, including Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, South Carolina and Tennessee, to name some.

While Clemson has yet to extend any class of 2026 offers, it’s already one of the schools standing out to Scott in his recruitment.

“Clemson stands high in my recruiting process,” he said, “and getting an offer when the period comes around would mean a lot.”

In seven games as a sophomore last season, Scott posted 30 receptions, 630 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns.
