After spending the first five years of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, Christian Wilkins is now taking his talents to the Sin City.
When free agency began last month, the former Clemson star defensive lineman signed a massive four-year, $110 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders that includes $84.75 million guaranteed.
It’s a well-deserved contract for Wilkins, who’s coming off a career year with Miami in 2023, when he tallied 65 total tackles (10 for loss), 23 quarterback hits, two passes defended, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries to go with nine sacks – double his previous career-high of 4.5 sacks in 2021.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder amassed 355 tackles (43 for loss) and 20.5 sacks across his five seasons with the Dolphins after being drafted by the franchise in the first round (13th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Former NFL cornerback and Raiders great Eric Allen, now a Raiders analyst, recently took a closer look at what the team is getting in Wilkins.
You can watch Allen — a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro during his 14-year NFL career — break down some of Wilkins’ game film in the following video from the Raiders’ official Facebook page:
