Clemson’s 2025 recruiting class is a massive success so far.
ESPN released its latest recruiting class rankings for the cycle and the Tigers earned high honors. Clemson is second in the country in ESPN 300 commits with seven and was ranked No. 3 with its class as a whole.
“Despite ranking just 15th for the 2024 cycle, the Tigers have already checked several boxes in 2025 with big commitments at multiple positions.”
Over the past couple years, the Tigers haven’t turned in top-five classes but the product on the field doesn’t reflect that. Freshmen have made big impacts and Dabo Swinney is hoping that continues to be the case.
Just looking on paper, the 2025 class could be Clemson’s best in recent memory and many positions are already sured up. ESPN has four-star running back Gideon Davidson and four-star defensive end Ari Watford as the two top commitments to this point.
Davidson and in-state Marquise Henderson round out a strong backfield for the future. The two run with different styles and that’s always a good thing for CJ Spiller’s room.
“Davidson, a top-five running back, runs with a nice blend of size, speed and power. He posted impressive numbers as a junior, rushing for 2,700 yards and 43 touchdowns. Henderson is more slightly built at roughly 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, but has explosive, big-play speed. He rushed for more than 2,300 yards as a junior.”
Chris Rumph joined the defensive staff for Clemson and it’s paying dividends on the recruiting trail. Watford is one of a few key commitments up front.
Four-stars Isaiah Campbell and Amare Adams fill out an impressive group. Nick Eason’s work can’t be undermined either.
Official visits are just under two months away and the Tigers look to bring in a statement class in 2025. If Clemson can seal the deal with a couple key pieces, this will be its highest ranked class since 2021.
