Augusta National has treated Lucas Glover well over the weekend.
The former Clemson Tiger closed his Saturday round with an even-par 72, setting up a crucial Sunday at The Masters. He stands in a tie for 13th and even for the tournament.
This is Glover’s sixth made cut at The Masters and he’s chasing history for himself and Clemson alums. His best finish came in 2007, closing the major at 20th.
Glover’s current pace would see him breaking his personal record but former Tiger Jonathan Byrd holds a higher mark. Byrd finished 8th in 2007, and Glover enters Sunday two strokes short of that mark.
He’s up 11 birdies on the weekend with hopes to make a few more as the tournament closes. Tee times await, but Glover’s impressive surge in his 40’s continues at Augusta National.
