Clemson safety Jalyn Phillips will have a chance to win a spot on an NFL roster.
The Clemson Insider has confirmed that Phillips has reached an unsigned free agent deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.
A respected team leader, Phillips was credited with 187 tackles (5.0 for loss), 14 pass breakups, two interceptions, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery over 60 career games (29 starts) at Clemson from 2019-23.
This past season, the 6-foot-1, 204-pounder posted 35 tackles (2.0 for loss), five pass breakups and a sack over eight games (all starts).
