CLEMSON — The top seeded Clemson Tigers know who their opponent will be for tonight’s six o’clock first pitch in the Clemson Regional Finals at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
The Tigers will play No. 3 seed Coastal Carolina in the finals. The Chants beat No. 4 High Point, 6-5, in Game 5 of the regional. The Panthers are now eliminated from the tournament.
Clemson will be the home team for tonight’s game.
Coastal rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the Panthers. The Chants used seven pitchers in the game to stay alive in the regional.
Clemson beat Coastal on Saturday, 4-3, to advance to the finals.
Derek Bender led Coastal Carolina on Sunday, as he went 3-for-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs.
