Elite Peach State WR, NFL Legacy Picks up Clemson Offer

Clemson extended a new class of 2026 wide receiver offer on Saturday to an elite Peach State prospect.

Douglas County High School (Douglasville, Ga.) four-star Devin Carter announced the offer via social media.

The 6-foot, 165-pound rising junior worked out with Clemson receivers coach Tyler Grisham at the Dabo Swinney Camp.

Carter, who lists more than 30 total offers from many of the nation’s top programs, is a consensus top-40 national prospect according to the major recruiting services. He is ranked as high as the nation’s No. 2 receiver and No. 11 overall prospect nationally for the 2026 class by Rivals.

Carter’s father, Dexter Carter, is a former Florida State running back who was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 1990 NFL Draft. Dexter played for the 49ers and New York Jets and won Super Bowl XXIX with the 49ers.

Devin decommitted from FSU back in January.
