Among the standout pass-catchers in participation at the 2024 Dabo Swinney Camp was this highly regarded Sunshine State wide receiver.
First Baptist Academy (Naples, Fla.) four-star Jayden Petit worked out during the weekend camp last weekend, when the class of 2026 recruit had the chance to showcase his skills for receivers coach Tyler Grisham and the Tigers’ coaching staff.
“I spoke with several coaches, but he (Grisham) said I was doing well, and he was encouraging throughout the camp,” Petit told The Clemson Insider. “All of the coaches were in fact.”
Petit is a top-70 national prospect in the 2026 class per 247Sports, which bills him as the No. 8 receiver and No. 67 overall player in the country for his class.
This year marked his second time attending the Swinney Camp, and he once again enjoyed the camp and his experience in Tiger Town.

“It was a great experience, especially being with my teammates and having fun,” he said. “I had the opportunity to tour the campus and the facilities, which was a highlight for me. It was a great experience overall.”
Petit is certainly high on Clemson, and he believes the Tigers are interested in him as well.
“I have a very high interest level in Clemson and what they provide,” he said. “I have heard great things from the coaching staff, so I feel like the interest is mutual.”
A 6-foot-4, 196-pound rising junior, Petit owns a double-digit offer sheet that includes Auburn, Tennessee, Miami, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Purdue, Indiana and others.
What would it mean to him to add Clemson to that list moving forward?
“It would be a great feeling to be offered because Clemson is one of those schools that doesn’t offer everyone,” he said.
Petit is coming off a highly productive sophomore season in 2023, when he posted 66 receptions for 1,141 yards and 16 touchdowns.
