TCI Recruiting Roundup: Meet the Clemson QB Targets

Two offers are currently out for just one spot.

Dabo Swinney’s high school camp featured a number of quarterback prospects working out for the Clemson coaching staff with the intention of earning one of those exclusive offers from the Tigers. Now that camp has concluded, we now know the top two targets at the position.

4-stars Brady Hart and Tait Reynolds announced offers from Clemson last week after their appearances at camp. While both worked out on Wednesday of last week, Reynolds would stay on campus for a few days, returning on Saturday to work out again.

Both share some similarities, but there are also some differences. And keep in mind that both of these guys are just about to enter their junior seasons, meaning there is more developing that will take place over the next two seasons. Mentally and physically.

Brady Hart

Hart is 6-foot-5 and listed at 195-pounds. While he is still a little wiry, he should continue to add some bulk before he arrives on a college campus. Hart is also a Top 100 talent and generally considered one of the ten-best quarterbacks in the class. He led his high school team to a state title last season, starting as a sophomore and throwing for more than 3,700 yards, with 41 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Watching him throw at camp, the first thing that stands out is the arm strength. It’s legit. While he is considered more of a pocket passer, he displayed some mobility as well. He moves around really well, and his footwork was really good. His film also shows an ability to put the ball into tight windows. After talking to him, he also seems like a really good cultural fit.

“It stands out for sure,” Hart said about Clemson. “It’s just the faith aspect that coach Swinney has and what that program is built on. Just how they do things. They just do everything with excellence. That definitely stands out. And I love that about it.”

Tait Reynolds

While not quite as tall as Hart, Reynolds is a physical specimen already. Rivals lists him at 6-foot-4 and 195-pounds, but at camp he looked like he was already up over the 200-pound mark. He is a quarterback that looks like he hasn’t missed a leg day in the gym in quite some time.

Reynolds also possesses a big, impressive arm. He can make all the throws. While he might not be quite as polished as Hart is at this point in their high school careers, it’s easy to see he has all the tools. Reynolds really just started play football a couple of years back.

Reynolds is also a two-sport star, as he is currently committed to Arizona State baseball. However, with all the interest he has started to receive as a quarterback prospect, he is starting to believe football might be the best path forward. In a recent interview with TCI, Reynolds said he would like to play both at the collegiate level, or at least play baseball during his first year on campus.

Reynolds is also more of a dual-threat quarterback than he is a pocket passer. He is extremely mobile, to go along with the impressive arm strength, and both aspects impressed offensive coordinator Garrett Riley.

“They just loved how I played and what kind of person I am especially,” Reynolds said. “They really liked I was more of just an athlete. Like I’m not very polished. I don’t really go to QB coaches, like a lot of these guys do. So they liked all that stuff.”

Now it’s a race to see which quarterback wants to be a part of the class. Neither have expressed a specific timeline for wanting to make a decision, but Reynolds did say he would like to speak to the Clemson baseball coaches first, which by NCAA rules, can not happen until August.

Basically, it boils down to there being two offers for one spot, and just like we saw in 2025, it’s very likely to be first come, first serve.
