In recruiting, one thing is certain. And that is, nothing is ever certain.

During the first week of June, Clemson handed out offers to two different quarterback prospects. Both of which worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp.

One of those quarterbacks was 4-star Brady Hart (Cocoa Beach, Fl). After working out at camp on June 5, Hart would go public with an offer just a few days later. The same day that 4-star Tait Reynolds also announced an offer from the Tigers.

While both quarterbacks announced offers on the same day, it was Hart that started generating almost immediate buzz to the Tigers, with multiple predictions quickly coming in for Clemson.

“It stands out for sure,” Hart told The Clemson Insider about the Clemson offer. “It’s just the faith aspect that coach Swinney has and what that program is built on. Just how they do things. They just do everything with excellence. That definitely stands out. And I love that about it.”

Now, just over two weeks removed from Hart announcing the offer, and the immediate predictions that came in on the heels of that offer, the blue-chip quarterback is once again generating some buzz. However, this buzz is targeted a little further north.

Hart is fresh off a weekend visit to Michigan, his first to Ann Arbor. A visit that went so well, new predictions have been rolling in, favoring the Wolverines. Checking in with one source late Monday night, there does appear to be some fire to go along with all of the smoke. While it’s not quite clear yet if a commitment is imminent, the original theory still stands. Nothing is ever certain in the world of recruiting.

If Hart were to come off the board this early in the process, it will be interesting to see what the Clemson coaching staff decides to do here. Obviously, Reynolds would still be the top target on the board. The question then becomes, does the staff just ride it out with Reynolds, who is currently committed to play baseball for Arizona State, or do they widen the net and target another quarterback, as well.
