A highly regarded Clemson offensive line target in the 2025 class committed elsewhere on Sunday afternoon.
Mario Nash of Kemper County High (De Kalb, Mississippi) announced his verbal pledge to Mississippi State via social media.
A four-star prospect per multiple recruiting services, Nash is ranked as high as the nation’s No. 170 overall prospect in the 2025 class by Rivals, which considers him the No. 18 offensive tackle nationally in the class.
Clemson offensive line coach Matt Luke made a stop by Nash’s school in late April, when he picked up an offer from the Tigers.
Nash, who visited Clemson back in March, held more than two dozen offers, and was named OL MVP of the Under Armour Next Camp in Atlanta earlier this year.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound rising senior’s offer list also included schools such as Southern Cal, Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Missouri, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State and Virginia Tech.
First of all I want to thank God for blessing me with all of the opportunities I have to further my career in College Football. I also want to Thank every Coach who took the time to recruit me. With that being said, I am committed to Mississippi State Bulldogs! #HailState… pic.twitter.com/niW3bFPzih
