Clemson already has an extremely strong haul of defensive linemen committed in the 2025 recruiting class.
4-star DT Amare Adams, who committed late last year, is ranked as high as No. 36 overall and is widely considered one of the five best defensive linemen in the class.
4-star DE Isaiah Campbell committed back in January and is ranked as high as No. 34 overall, and like Adams, is widely considered one of the Top 5 defensive linemen in the country.
4-star DE Ari Watford joined the class with a commitment back in January. Like the others, he is also highly-touted, ranking as high as No. 33 overall and No. 4 among all edge rushers.
With those three on board, Clemson already has three of the best defensive linemen in the class currently committed and the staff is still looking to add.
4-star Bryce Davis is set to announce on July 20 with the finalists being Clemson, Duke, Georgia, and South Carolina. He ranks as high as No. 51 and No. 3 among all players at his position. This has been viewed as a Clemson-Georgia battle for quite awhile, with some seeing Duke as having a punchers chance.
Davis was last on campus for Clemson’s big official visit weekend. He also took officials to the three other finalists. With the Bulldogs already having secured commitments from two defensive ends and expected to add more, that just might give the Tigers a leg up. Davis has said publicly that Georgia is also recruiting him as more of an OLB in their 3-4 scheme, where Clemson sees him as more of a traditional end.
There is no denying that the Tigers seem to have some momentum on their side as Davis nears decision day. Landing a player of his caliber would help ease the sting of some of the other misses Clemson has experienced over the past few weeks.
