Clemson’s in-state rival got some more bad news Wednesday on the recruiting front.
South Carolina lost its second commitment of the month, this time with class of 2025 linebacker Jaiden Braker flipping his verbal pledge from the Gamecocks to LSU.
Braker, a 6-foot-3, 212-pound rising senior from Snellville, Ga., had been committed to Shane Beamer’s program since July 6.
Braker marks South Carolina’s second decommitment from its 2025 class, as Shamari Earls – a four-star cornerback and top-100 national prospect from Chester, Va. – withdrew his verbal pledge from the Gamecocks on July 7 and flipped to Georgia.
South Carolina’s 2025 class is now ranked No. 31 nationally according to 247Sports, while Clemson currently has the No. 12 recruiting class for 2025 per 247Sports.
