Top-Rated Former Clemson Target Announces Commitment

The recruitment of David Sanders Jr. has finally come to an end.

The former Clemson target, and one of the top players in the class, announced a commitment to Tennessee on Saturday, choosing the Volunteers over other finalists Ohio State, Nebraska and Georgia.

The 5-star offensive lineman, who is widely considered the No. 1 tackle prospect in the country, was at one time the Tigers’ top target in the class. Sanders made multiple visits to campus throughout his recruitment, with several of those coming this year, including the big official visit weekend back in June.

While Clemson was at one time thought to be one of the favorites to land the talented prospect, the Tigers would ultimately fail to make his list of four finalists earlier this summer.

Clemson’s 2025 class currently includes commitments from three blue-chip offensive linemen in Brayden Jacobs, Easton Ware and Rowan Bryne.
