Former Clemson Standout Lands with New NFL Team

A former Clemson standout landed with a new NFL team this week.

On Tuesday, the Miami Dolphins announced they have signed former Clemson offensive tackle Jackson Carman to the team’s practice squad.

Carman was waived by the Cincinnati Bengals last month.

The greater Cincinnati native spent the first three years of his NFL career (2021-23) with the Bengals. He played in 29 career games (regular and postseason) for Cincinnati, including eight starts.

Last season, Carman appeared in two games on special teams and as a reserve tackle, while being inactive for eight and active/DNP for seven contests.

The 6-foot-5, 322-pounder was selected by the Bengals in the second round (46th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Carman declared for the NFL Draft after playing 1,934 snaps over 40 career games (27 starts) at Clemson from 2018-20.

A two-time All-ACC selection, Carman started each of the last 27 games of his college career and helped lead the Tigers to ACC titles and College Football Playoff berths in all three seasons.
