Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media following the 21st-ranked Tigers’ 59-35 win over NC State on Saturday at Death Valley.
Swinney gave an injury update on Adam Randall, saying the junior wideout will miss time after breaking his toe last Monday.
The Tigers allowed Randall to play in Saturday’s game, as he really wanted to play and was in a position to where he could do so, but Swinney said Randall will be sidelined for at least a couple of games after he undergoes a procedure to put a screw in his toe.
Swinney said they hope to get Randall back by the Virginia game on Oct. 19.
“He’s got a little stress fracture in his toe,” Swinney said. “So, he’ll be out at least a couple of ball games.”
On Saturday against the Wolfpack, Randall recorded a team-high and career-high 69 yards on a career-high-tying five receptions with one touchdown.
The former four-star prospect from Myrtle Beach recorded his first career touchdown reception on a 4-yard pass from Cade Klubnik in the third quarter.
