Following Wednesday’s practice, in his final media availability of the week, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an update on the injury status of Bryant Wesco.

The star freshman receiver has been able to practice this week, and on Wednesday, Swinney said Wesco has continued to practice in a normal capacity.

Swinney was asked Wednesday if he feels good about Wesco being available to play in Saturday’s game vs. Stanford.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Swinney said.

Wesco played 16 snaps against NC State last Saturday, when he recorded one reception. On Tuesday, Swinney spoke about Wesco’s status.

“Wesco is back. He is practicing. He is just a little sore,” Swinney said. “Probably, if we had to have him, we could have put him back in the game. We just held him out.”

In three games this season, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound former five-star prospect from Texas has posted five catches for 134 yards and a touchdown.

Saturday’s game vs. Stanford at Death Valley is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff on ESPN.
