Tigers Pick Up New Commitment from Top-100 Prospect

Brad Brownell and the Clemson basketball program have picked up a big, new verbal pledge.

Alexandria Area High School (Alexandria, Minn.) class of 2025 forward Chase Thompson announced his commitment to the Tigers via social media Sunday afternoon.

Thompson (6-8) is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals, which considers him a top-100 national prospect in the 2025 class (No. 94 overall) and the nation’s No. 13 power forward in his class.

Thompson joins four-star guard Zachary Foster and three-star forward Trent Steinour in the Tigers’ 2025 class.

Thompson recently took an official visit to Clemson the weekend of the NC State game. He chose the Tigers over offers from schools such as Iowa, West Virginia, Nebraska and DePaul.
