CLEMSON —  In each of No. 15 Clemson’s three victories so far this season, a new player has recorded their first career touchdown.

Freshman receivers T.J. Moore and Bryant Wesco notched their first scores in a Clemson uniform against Appalachian State on Sept. 7, thanks to respective 76 and 33-yard tosses from quarterback Cade Klubnik.

Junior Adam Randall got his first touchdown catch of his career and led the team with 69 receiving yards against NC State on Sept. 21.

Most recently, wide receiver Cole Turner and tight end Olsen Patt-Henry recorded their first receiving touchdowns in the Tigers’ win over Stanford last Saturday night.

Throw in veterans like Jake Briningstool and Antonio Williams and eight different receivers have caught a touchdown pass from Klubnik.

Williams hauled in two TD passes from Klubnik in the NC State game, while has three total touchdown receptions this year.

According to quarterback Klubnik, all eight of players are constant threats to score.

“It just continues to prove that we’ve got guys everywhere,” he said. “There really is a continued next man up kind of vibe and guys are ready to make plays wherever. That’s what’s really special.”

Having so many reliable weapons has allowed Klubnik to spread the ball around and preventing defenses from bracketing just one receiver.

“We get in a third-and-five opportunity, there’s straight man coverage, I don’t have just one guy I’m looking to go to, I’ve got guys all over,” the Clemson quarterback said. “It’s really not as much finding my best matchup versus their guy, it’s who’s their worst guy that we can now go after because we got guys all over that can go do it.”

The Tigers (3-1, 2-0 ACC) will have another chance to showcase their offensive variety and talent in their first true road game Saturday (7 p.m., ESPN) against the Florida State Seminoles.
