Bad News for Wilkins

A bad update came out Tuesday on Christian Wilkins and his injury.

The former Clemson star defensive lineman will be sidelined for the foreseeable future after suffering a foot injury in the Las Vegas Raiders’ game against the Denver Broncos this past Sunday.

On Tuesday, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Wilkins is out indefinitely and will be going on injured reserve after undergoing surgery for a Jones Fracture.

Wilkins is in his first year with the Raiders after signing a mega free agent deal with the team this past offseason.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder recorded 17 tackles (two for loss), two sacks and six quarterback hits over the Raiders’ first five games this season.

A 2019 first-round pick, Wilkins spent the first five years of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins and entered this season having amassed 353 tackles, 20.5 sacks and 43 tackles for loss over 81 career games (77 starts) during his time in Miami.
