TCI Recruiting Roundup: Blake Hebert Flips, Plus Another Recruiting Miss

Monday was not a good day for Clemson on the recruiting front.

The Tigers lost 4-star QB commit Blake Hebert, as he flipped to Notre Dame. It was the third decommitment from the program since August. Hebert had been committed to Clemson more than a year, giving his verbal pledge in June of 2023 with the Fighting Irish finishing as the runner-up.

At first glance, this decommitment looks similar to the other two. However, unlike with 4-star DL Bryce Davis and Isaiah Campbell, it doesn’t appear that this decision only boiled down to other schools offering up more NIL money.

Cade Klubnik still has another year of eligibility and backup Chris Vizzina will still have three more after this season. Although, it is fair to question whether Vizzina would be willing to sit another year if Klubnik decides to return for his senior season.

Clemson also has two quarterbacks committed in the 2026 class in 4-star Tait Reynolds and 3-star Brock Bradley. Reynolds is considered a Top 10 player at the position by more than one service and his stock continues to rise with his strong senior season.

Bradley is a little more of an under-the-radar type of player with Texas A&M, West Virginia, Cincinnati and Wake Forest being his only other Power-4 offers.

The Tigers also failed to make the cut for 3-star DL Christian Ingram, who picked up an offer in September after visiting for the NC State game.

“Clemson develops them,” Ingram told TCI after the visit. “It’s crazy. They were so together, so locked in in that locker room. They did everything they said they were going to do. They executed, played hard, played physical. They communicate well. It’s like a family. Full of brothers. They are all together. They are real close.”

Ingram released a Top 5 on Monday that included Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan and Vanderbilt. With two defensive tackles already committed in the 2025 class in 4-stars Amare Adams and Makhi Williams-Lee, the staff could choose to stick with what they have and not pursue another.
