Friday Night Lights: Checking in on Current Clemson Commits

With Clemson off this week, now is an opportune time to check in on how some of the Tigers’ current commits are performing on the gridiron.

Clemson’s 2025 recruiting class currently features 13 commitments, with some of those players turning in stellar senior campaigns.

5-star DL Amare Adams: The 6-foot-6, 300-pound blue-chip prospect is the anchor of the South Florence defensive line. Adams turned in another impressive performance in the Bruins’ blowout win over Lower Richland on Friday night, unofficially registering three tackles and a sack, while also adding two quarterback hurries. He now has more than 20 hurries this season. One of those on Friday night resulted in an interception. Adams only played in the first half and battled through first quarter cramps.

4-star S Tae Harris: The two-way player continues to get it done for Cedartown. Harris has played a big role for the 9-1 Bulldogs, rushing for almost 800 yards through the first nine games. He is averaging 13.7 yards per carry and has gone over the century mark twice with 12 touchdown runs. He’s added another 197 receiving yards, with three touchdown catches. On the defensive side, he is averaging seven tackles per contest. Harris missed Friday night’s win due to an injury.

4-star RB Gideon Davidson: Davidson is another one that continues to shine as his team is still unbeaten (7-0). In LCA’s 45-6 win over Glass on Friday night, Davidson had three touchdown runs. One went for 64 yards with the other two coming from 10 yards out.

Through the first five games, Davidson averaged 186.6 yards per game and 8.7 yards per attempt, with 14 touchdowns. He went over 100 yards four times in that stretch, several times while only playing in the first half.

4-star RB Marquise Henderson: The in-state running back turned in another dominant performance in BHP’s dominating 48-7 win over Pendleton on Friday night. Henderson finished with 171 yards on just eight carries with touchdown runs of 78 and 37 yards.

The Mr. Football finalist accumulated 1,077 rushing yards through the Bears first seven games, averaging 13.8 yards per carry. He went over 100 yards five times in that stretch and like Davidson, he has only played in the first half in several of those games.

3-star DL Makhi Williams-Lee: Clemson’s newest commitment has been downright dominant this season at Lakeside. Through nine games, Williams-Lee has been credited with 64 tackles and 18 tackles for loss. He has seven sacks and two quarterback hurries.

3-star TE Logan Brooking: The 6-foot-5 tight end averaged 15.1 yards per catch with two touchdowns over his first eight games.
