CLEMSON – Clemson has flipped an offensive lineman in the 2025 class.
4-star OL Gavin Blanchard (Wiregrass Ranch, FL) has flipped his commitment from UCF to Clemson.
Despite not holding an offer, Blanchard had been on the Clemson radar for quite some time, visiting campus multiple times earlier in the year, before committing to UCF back in June.
“Coach (Matt) Luke is a great man, first and foremost,” Blanchard told TCI in a previous interview. “Very caring, which shows he is a great man. Second of all, he’s very enthusiastic. The way he talks to us or the way he talks to the recruits, very enthusiastic. Then what you see on the field. He’s always jumping around. He’s always doing something. Very enthusiastic because he cares.”
ESPN ranks Blanchard as a 4-star and as the third-best interior lineman in the class, while Rivals ranks him as ninth-best. He projects to play center at the collegiate level.
The addition of the 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive lineman now gives the Tigers 14 verbal pledges in the 2025 class. He is the fourth OL take in the class, joining 4-stars Brayden Jacobs, Easton Ware and 3-star Rowan Byrne.
