Swinney Updates Health Status of Two Injured OL Ahead of Rivalry Game

Dabo Swinney provided an update on two starting offensive linemen that have missed substantial time of late.

Starting LG Marcus Tate has missed the past three games and starting LT Tristan Leigh has missed most of the past three games and during his weekly press conference on Tuesday, the head coach said both were trending in the right direction when it comes to playing against rival South Carolina on Saturday.

“Tristan and Marcus are trending in a good spot,” Swinney said. “As we sit here today, I feel pretty good about them.”

Swinney noted that the next two days would be critical, seeing as both have missed multiple games.

“But Tuesday, Wednesday practice, you got to go practice, especially those guys because they have been out a couple of games,” Swinney added. “So, got to go compete today and hopefully we can get through these next two practices.”

Clemson and South Carolina will renew the rivalry series on Saturday. Kickoff is at noon and the game will be televised by ESPN.
