Clemson Wideout Calls Championship Game a ‘Blessing’

CLEMSON – All eyes are on the No. 17 Clemson Tigers as they take on No. 8 SMU in hopes for an ACC Championship, as well as a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Wide receiver T.J. Moore spoke with the media earlier this week about getting to play for an ACC championship, improvement in his discipline and more.

–Not long after losing to rival South Carolina, Clemson found itself with new life after finding out they would be playing for the ACC Championship. Moore said the attitude in the facility has been good. “Everybody’s pumped up. We’re working hard and we’re excited to get the opportunity again.”

–With a win in the ACC Championship Game, the Tigers would guarantee themselves a spot in the new 12-team playoff. After chance and chance, Moore said, “I feel like it’s a blessing to be honest…I feel like God’s given us more and more opportunity so now we just need to make the most it.”

–In the last few games, Clemson has not put up as many points on the board as it had been in the beginning of the season. Moore said he thinks this is because of “missed opportunities.” He feels like the offense “needs more effort” when it comes to making those game changing plays.

–Moore was asked what he feels like he has improved on the most during his freshman season now that he is 12 games in. The wideout said, “Discipline. Everything is more disciplined here and that makes me want to go out and do good.” He later added, “I feel like I’m growing technique wise, mentally, learning the game better.”
