Brown Loves to Play, not Worried About Snap Count

CLEMSON – Clemson drew the 12-seed in the first round of the College Football Playoff and is heading to Austin, Texas to face the No. 5 seed Texas Longhorns.

–As the season has progressed, Brown has gotten more opportunities to be on the field. He said that it has been a “blessing to contribute to the team” and that when he is on the field he wants to “just go out there and play a game that I love to play.”

–The sophomore doesn’t like to count his snaps because he said, “it doesn’t really matter how many I play but I’m going to make my snaps count.” He wants to make sure that while he is on the field, he is doing his job the best he can.

-Playing football in December means you’ve had a good season, and Brown was told that growing up. He said, “It’s really fun to play into December and January. That was something that in high school my dad talked about a lot was anytime you’re playing football in December you’ve had a really good year.”

–Brown was asked about his thoughts during Nolan Hauser’s game winning kick in the ACC Championship game. He replied, “No doubt, no doubt in my mind.” Brown and Hauser are roommates and have been together since the beginning of their time at Clemson. Brown said, “I’ve just kind of watched him grow personality wise and there was no doubt in my mind he was going to go out there and make it.”
