Clemson Players React After Season-Ending Loss

Clemson’s 2024 season came to an end Saturday in the College Football Playoff, with the 12th-seeded Tigers’ 38-24 loss to the fifth-seeded Texas Longhorns at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas.

Clemson finished the season with a 10-4 record, including an 8-1 record in ACC play, and won the conference championship for the eighth time in 10 seasons.

The 2024 season marked Clemson’s 20th season with 10 or more wins all-time and its 13th in the last 14 years, tied for the most in the nation (Alabama, 13 entering the ReliaQuest Bowl on Dec. 31) in that span. The Tigers appeared in their seventh College Football Playoff and stand as one of only two teams ever to earn seven CFP berths since the institution of the postseason format in 2014 (Alabama, 8).

Despite the defeat to Texas, with a win in the ACC Championship Game, Clemson will enter the 2025 season riding a 14-year active streak of consecutive seasons with at least one postseason win (conference championship games and/or bowl/CFP games), the longest streak in FBS history.

Clemson will now turn its attention to the 2025 season, which will open with a marquee matchup against the LSU Tigers at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 30.

After the playoff loss to the Longhorns, a number of Clemson players took to social media with their reactions at season’s end. Check out what some of the Tigers had to say below:
