4-Star Edge Sets Next Visit, Says Clemson in His Top 3

Dre Quinn is one of just a handful of defensive ends in the 2026 recruiting class to hold an offer from Clemson.

The 4-star talent, out of Greater Atlanta Christian School, got a visit from head coach Dabo Swinney and defensive ends coach Chris Rumph on Wednesday,

“I talked to them for a good two hours,” Quinn told The Clemson Insider. ” Talking about how they develop players well. How they barely offer many people and how they barely pull from out of the transfer portal. How players at Clemson hardly ever leave. A lot of stuff like that. I feel like I got closer with them. I really appreciate them coming out.”

Quinn last visited Clemson for the Louisville game in November. Two days later the 6-foot-4 prospect announced an offer from the Tigers. Since that visit, he and Rumph have really started to bond.

“I feel like I have gotten really close to coach Rumph,” Quinn said. “Ever since my visit for the Louisville game, getting to talk to him in person, that really started to grow our relationship.”

During Wednesday’s visit, Rumph also gave Quinn an idea of how he might fit into the Clemson defense, while at the same time, ensuring him that he would have an opportunity to see the field early.

“He was talking about different schemes they would have,” Quinn added. “And also that they would want me getting into the rotation quickly. I would love to get in there and get some early experience. Get a feel for it and have a good shot of going to the league.”

Over the next few weeks, Quinn will be busy taking visits. He will be at Duke on January 18 and Tennessee one week later on the 25th. Next month he hits Virginia on the 1st and Alabama on the 2nd. Then he returns to Clemson on March 8.

As it stands currently, Quinn said he is “pretty high” on the Tigers and that Clemson is in his top three.

“Just the player development,” he said. “How much they care about their players. They treat their players like they are more than just a football player. Then they have the PAW Journey program, which is off the field stuff for the players.”

After this round of spring visits, Quinn plans to take some officials in the summer then have a decision sometime after that and it looks like Clemson is a legit contender for the blue-chip talent.

“I like the culture there,” Quinn said. “It’s a place where I know I could grow. Everybody is tight-knitted. It’s a family there. That is the kind of place I really want to be at.”
