One Clemson pitcher has been tabbed as one of the best freshmen in the country.
In Baseball America’s Top 25 freshmen in college baseball, left-handed pitcher Talan Bell was ranked No. 15.
Bell dealt with an injury during fall ball but is a candidate to be a major contributor on the Tiger’s pitching staff in 2025.
Coming out of high school Bell was considered by Perfect Game to be a Top 200 MLB Prospect. The publication ranked Bell No. 33 overall and No. 5 among all left-handed pitching prospects.
Bell has a fastball that tops out well over 90 mph, and has a changeup and slider that he has really good command of.
As a senior at Hagerty High School (Oviedo, FL), Bell went 7-1 with a 0.98 ERA and 78 strikeouts, earning the Gatorade Player of the Year award in the state of Florida.
