One of Clemson’s top defensive end targets has trimmed his list.
4-star Edge Cam Brooks (Thomas County, GA) released a list of his Top 9 schools on Monday, with Clemson making the cut. The other finalists are Cal, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan, Miami, Ohio State, and Auburn.
Brooks has well over 30 offers with most every high-level football program having pulled the trigger. Brooks picked up his offer from Clemson back in early September.
Members of the Tigers’ coaching staff, including head coach Dabo Swinney, were in to see the blue-chip recruit last Thursday and Brooks told The Clemson Insider that he plans on attending the Elite Retreat on March 8.
Brooks also told TCI that as of late last week he has no other visits locked in.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound prospect is ranked No. 88 overall in the 247 Composite Rankings and No. 9 among all edge rushers. He also ranks No. 12 in the state of Georgia.
