One of Clemson’s newly offered recruiting targets has announced his four finalists.
4-star DB Kaden Gebhardt (Olentangy, Lewis Center, Ohio) released his group of finalists on Tuesday with Clemson, Penn State, Wisconsin and Ohio State all making the cut.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound recruit just visited Clemson for the first time just over a week ago and left town with an offer. At the same time, Gebhardt is very familiar with new defensive coordinator Tom Allen, who was recruiting him while at Penn State.
“I already had a great relationship with Coach Allen at Penn State,” Gebhardt recently told TCI. “He’s actually the one that offered me at Penn State. So I have a great relationship with him. Coach Conn, I love Coach Conn. He’s the one that reached out to me. Then we set up that visit to come down. I made sure to get down there as quickly as possible, that’s for sure. And then Coach Swinney. He’s a great dude and a great coach. You can’t get much better than that.”
Gebhardt also recently told TCI he was hoping to make it back to campus for the Elite Retreat on March 8.
The highly-touted defensive back is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 215 overall prospect in the country, No. 17 safety nationally and the eighth-best prospect in the state of Ohio for the 2026 class.
