5-Star Signee Gets Big Bump in Final 2025 Recruiting Rankings

Clemson signee Amare Adams earned a significant bump in 247Sports’ final recruiting rankings for the 2025 recruiting class.

The 5-star in-state defensive tackle is ranked No. 7 overall in the outlet’s updated rankings. Adams jumped 16 spots from No. 23.

Adams also now ranks as the No. 2 defensive lineman in the class, moving up two spots there.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder helped lead South Florence to its second state title in three seasons this season. Despite facing constant double teams, and sometimes triple teams, Adams tallied 75 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, six sacks, two passes deflected and one forced fumble.

Adams, who is an early enrollee, was one of two defensive tackles taken by Clemson in the 2025 class and he is the highest-rated recruit signed by the Tigers.
