A talented defender from the Tar Heel State reported an offer from Clemson this weekend.
Ashbrook High School (Gastonia, N.C.) class of 2026 inside linebacker Caleb Gordon announced the offer via social media Friday.
After an amazing conversation with (defensive coordinator Tom Allen) & (assistant linebackers coach Ben Boulware) I’m blessed to receive an offer from (Clemson Football)!!!” Gordon wrote.
Gordon has also garnered offers from several other ACC programs, including Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech, while he also lists offers from schools such as App State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Georgia State and Liberty.
As a junior last season, the 6-foot, 217-pounder was highly productive while posting 141 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries, per MaxPreps.
His cousin is former North Carolina running back British Brooks, who signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in May 2024.
