Lawrence Gives Injury Update

Jacksonville Jaguars franchise quarterback and former Clemson star Trevor Lawrence was a guest on the Up & Adams Show with NFL personality Kay Adams this week.

During his appearance on the show, Lawrence provided an update on his shoulder injury recovery process.

The 25-year-old was placed on injured reserve back on Dec. 4 after his shoulder injury and concussion, effectively ending his fourth NFL season after 10 games. He then underwent successful surgery on Dec. 17 to repair the AC joint sprain in his left shoulder.

“It’s going well,” Lawrence said of his recovery. “I got the sling off. I was six weeks in the sling, been out for three weeks. So I’m going on week 10, and it’s feeling a lot better. It’ll be a little bit more work to do – build some strength, get some range of motion – but I’m on my way. It’s feeling a lot better than it was in that sling.”

Lawrence suffered the shoulder injury in Jacksonville’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 3.

He later suffered a concussion when he took a vicious blow to the head in Jacksonville’s game against the Houston Texans on Dec. 1, and he had to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol before the shoulder surgery.

Lawrence completed 60.6 percent of his passes for 2,045 yards with 11 touchdown passes and seven interceptions over 10 games during the 2024 season.

Since being drafted out of Clemson with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Lawrence has completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 13,815 yards and 69 touchdowns with 46 interceptions over 60 games from 2021-24.
