After last season, Blake Miller had a decision to make. Return to Clemson for his senior season or enter the NFL Draft.
Ultimately, Miller decided to give it one more go with the Tigers. The thought of helping Clemson get back to the promised land factored heavily into the decision.
“That was a decision I had to make with my team and my family,” Miller said. “This is the best decision for me. Sat there and deliberated with everyone around me. Coaches. Also prayed on it. This is what I decided on and I am thrilled to be back. Full speed ahead, focused and trying to win a national championship this year.”
Since his very first collegiate game, Miller has been a mainstay along the Clemson offensive line. He won the job as the starting right tackle as a freshman and has started every game since.
Last season Miller earned first-team All-ACC honors by the league and the AP. In 2023, he was a thrid-team All-ACC selection, with that coming after earning freshman All-American status in his debut season.
Despite all of that success, Miller feels like he still has more to accomplish at Clemson.
“I felt like there was more to give here,” Miller said. “I want to win it all with everyone. I want to give the team the best version of me. Just put my best foot forward.”
Then, there is also all of the relationship he’s built at Clemson over the years. Miller has deep bonds with a multitude of teammates and he’s like nothing more than to end the season by hoisting a national championship trophy with them.
“I’d miss these guys too,” Miller said. “The relationships I have built. Cade (Klubnik), Tristan (Leigh), Walker (Parks), Collin (Sadler), Harris (Sewell), Ryan (Linthicum), everyone. I want to put my best foot forward with the guys around me and go all in with them.”
