As No. 4 Clemson (21-2, 2-1 ACC) prepares to host 11th-ranked Wake Forest (18-4, 6-0 ACC) this weekend in an important ACC series, Clemson head coach Erik Bakich has one request from Clemson fans inside of Doug Kingsmore Stadium for the three games – Bring The Noise!
“We are going to need the tenth man as well to not just spectate but also participate this weekend and beyond,” Bakich told TCI earlier this week. “The players know that energy is for them and the opposing team knows that energy is against them.”
The third-year head coach went on to reference the famous “K-Time” chant that happens at Florida State and talked about having the whole stadium standing and clapping with two strikes or two outs.
“It’s easy to get loud after something happens but we want that preemptive energy to help our team start a rally and put some pressure on the other team.”
Bakich shared that the program is working on ways to get fans more engaged and hinting at more prompts being on the video board this weekend.
“We’ve seen it in the postseason and for the South Carolina series, but the challenge is how do we create an energy and atmosphere that rival those events every weekend in ACC play.”
The Tigers will look to end a six-game losing streak to a Demon Deacon team that has swept them each of the past two seasons and they hope to see an engaged and rowdy Doug Kingsmore Stadium crowd.
