Decision Day Nears for Four-Star WR Target

One of Clemson’s top remaining wide receiver targets is set to announce a decision in the very near future.

Four-star Gordon Sellars (Providence Day, Charlotte) will announce his commitment on April 18.

Sellars picked up his offer from the Tigers last September and was on hand for the rivalry matchup against South Carolina to end the regular season.

“The visit was amazing,” Sellars told The Clemson Insider. “It’s a brotherhood at Clemson, and they are playing for each other.”

Sellars returned for the Elite Retreat in March and was then back for the Spring Game on Saturday. The blue-chip talent was decked out in Clemson gear for the most recent visit.

Sellars is working with a group of finalists that include South Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia and North Carolina A&T, along with Clemson.

Along with his spring visits to Clemson, he’s also visited Ohio State and Michigan. South Carolina was scheduled to get a visit the same day that he is scheduled to announce his commitment, meaning that one isn’t likely to happen, although it’s entirely possible he gets to Columbia once more before then.

The Tigers already have secured commitments from four-star wideouts Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin, two highly rated receivers. Adding the 6-foot-3 Sellars to the group would give Clemson an elite-level group of receivers in a class that currently ranks second nationally in the 247 Composite.

ESPN ranks Sellars No. 127 overall, No. 22 among all receivers in the 2026 class and No. 2 in the state of North Carolina.
