CLEMSON — Clemson freshman Marian Collins hit two home runs, including a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning, as No. 15 Clemson downed No. 9 South Carolina, 2-1, at McWhorter Stadium on Tuesday.

The win was huge for Clemson’s chance to host a regional in next month’s NCAA Tournament. The Gamecocks (32-11) were ranked No. 3 in the RPI coming in, while the Tigers (35-11) were ranked No. 17.
