Clemson Pitcher Earns Weekly Honor

A Clemson hurler earned weekly honors from this national outlet following a stellar outing in his first career start this past weekend.

Clemson’s Drew Titsworth was named ACC Pitcher of the Week by D1Baseball.

On Friday, the sophomore righthander twirled six scoreless innings to lead Clemson to a 2-1 victory over Louisville at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Titsworth earned the win in a career-long outing, yielding just three hits and no walks with three strikeouts. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder faced just three hitters over the minimum.

“He looked very comfortable in that role,” Clemson head coach Erik Bakich said. “He is a big, physical kid. It adds a lot of value to him as a pitcher, knowing he can start, but he can also relieve if needed.”

Titsworth’s gem improved his record to 4-0 this season. In 14 appearances, 13 in relief, the Michigan native has posted a 2.86 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and two saves while allowing just 22 hits and seven walks with 32 strikeouts over 28.1 innings pitched. Opponents are batting only .214 against him in 2025.

Titsworth is expected to get another start this weekend when the second-ranked Tigers travel to Raleigh for a three-game series against NC State.
