A former Clemson safety will play for the other Gamecocks next season.

Caleb Nix has officially signed with Jacksonville State, choosing the Gamecocks over App State. He made visits to both schools.

The redshirt junior joined the Tigers as a walk-on in 2022 and appeared in 10 games over his career. He is the brother of former Oregon and current Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.
