Gamecock Transfer Signs with ACC Program

A former member of Clemson’s in-state rival is headed to the ACC.

After entering the NCAA transfer portal last week, highly regarded former South Carolina offensive lineman Kam Pringle has signed with Syracuse.

Clemson and Syracuse will square off during the 2025 season on Sept. 20 at Memorial Stadium.

A former Clemson target, Pringle appeared in one game for the Gamecocks as a true freshman last fall and redshirted the 2024 season. The 6-foot-8, 336-pounder has four years of eligibility left.

A native of Dorchester, S.C., and Woodland High School product, Pringle enrolled at South Carolina in January 2024. The former four-star prospect was the No. 15 offensive tackle and No. 180 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Pringle helped Woodland to an 8-3 record as a senior and was named the Class 2A Lower State Defensive Lineman of the Year by the South Carolina Football Coaches Association. He was also named an Under Armour All-American and was selected to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas following his senior season.
