Mississippi OL Names Clemson One of Four Finalists, Sets Official Visit

One Clemson offensive line target has trimmed his list down to four.

Three-star Dalton Toothman (Vancleave, Ocean Springs, MS) named his four finalists on Saturday, with Clemson, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Auburn all making the cut.

Toothman has been on the Tigers’ radar for quite some time, with offensive line coach Matt Luke paying him a visit during the contact period in January. Toothman then visited Clemson in early March for the first time, leaving with an offer in tow.

“It was a great visit,” Toothman told The Clemson Insider after the visit. “They truly have something different there. Just the way they do things is totally different from a lot of places.”

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound prospect also tells TCI that he now plans to attend Clemson’s big official visit weekend from May 30 to June 2. Toothman said he has scratched Baylor from his schedule.

  • Auburn: May 16
  • Clemson: May 30
  • Ole Miss: June 6
  • Mississippi State: June 13

Clemson already has four offensive linemen committed in the 2026 recruiting class, but the staff is still looking to add up to two more. Four-star Braden Wilmes was the first to commit, announcing late last year. Four-stars Grant Wise, Adam Guthrie and Chance Barclay all announced verbal pledges the weekend of the Elite Retreat.
